How We Approach Learning

At Coombs Early Learning, learning isn’t about ticking boxes—it’s about helping children make sense of the world in a way that feels natural to them. Our educators create environments that encourage curiosity, independence and confidence, giving each child the space to grow in their own time and way.

Bush Kinder: Learning Outdoors in Nature

Sometimes the best lessons happen outside the classroom. Our Bush Kinder program gives children the freedom to explore nature, build resilience and grow through real-world experiences.

We head out each week to explore our community or the beautiful National Arboretum, where the children climb, problem-solve, and connect with the environment. They love it and so do our educators.

Playing with Gratitude

Gratitude might sound like a big word for little people, but at Coombs, it’s part of everyday life. Our “Playing with Gratitude” program helps children learn to pause, appreciate small moments, and build a strong sense of belonging.

It’s woven into play, conversation, and relationships—helping children grow into kind, confident learners who feel connected to their world.
