What To Bring To Childcare

From spare clothes to comfort items, here’s exactly what to pack each day to help your child feel settled and ready to enjoy their time at Coombs Early Learning.

A Few Essentials For A Smooth Day

As a long day care service, we provide all meals and snacks, so you don’t need to worry about packing food. Here’s what to bring each day to help your child feel comfortable, secure, and ready to enjoy their time with us.

Please pack these items in a clearly labelled bag:

  • Spare Clothes: A few changes of clothes suitable for the season
  • Comfort Item: A dummy, teddy, or blanket if your child uses one
  • Sun Hat: For outdoor play all year round
  • Drink Bottle: Clearly labelled with your child’s name
We provide nappies and wipes for all children in our care. If your child needs a specific brand or cream, you’re welcome to pack these along with written authorisation if required.

If your child is undergoing toilet training, having a few extra changes of clothes and training pants on hand is helpful.

For children who rest during the day, you are welcome to bring:

  • A comfort toy or blanket to help them feel settled.

We provide all bedding, which is washed regularly.

Depending on the season, you might also include:

  • A warm jacket or jumper
  • A raincoat and gumboots for wet days
  • Sunscreen (or we can apply ours with your permission)
Please clearly label all items, including clothing, drink bottles, and comfort items. This helps us make sure everything goes home with you at the end of the day.
